Autumn Splendor

As the rains came today, so did my creativity!

I had been wanting to enter a couple of challenges and I finally got my chance.

This tent fold is one of my favorites and the 3D effect I was

striving for makes this card a work of art.

I used the easel stand inside like a stairstep and added pine trees for the background.

The maple leaves are ACY, the oak leavesand pinecones are DC,

the large tree is from Heritage, and the small branches are a MS punch.

A touch of ribbon and this card is an autumn splendor wonder.

Although it was hard to show all the detail in the photo, this piece is one of my favorites.

Birthday Poster

Since we are celebrating the end of a decade for my dear DIL this weekend,

I thought this would be a cute gesture to end her "youthful years!"

All the cartoon images were cut from Pooh and Friends, happy birthday from ACY,

29th from PS, and Kira from Mickey Font.

I added some confetti swirls to give it a party look and

put it all on a poster board.

Good-bye my 20's.....hello my 30's.....hello my adult gal!

Birthday Gift Card Holder

I saw this SVG cut and I wanted to try it,
 but I have mixed feelings about the end result.

The picture really doesn't do it justice - 
the colors are much brighter than the picture shows.

"Happy" is done in a lime green and outlined in black.

"BDAY" and "29th" were cut twice. 

 The ribbon was cut from a silver metallic paper and embossed with swirls. 

 I added the bow and gem and popped it for dimension.

Do not glue the ribbon on the front or you won't have a "slot" for the gift card or currency.

I did like the "tag holder" at the top for attatching it to a present, etc.

I think I will do some redesigning the next time I make this particular item.

Boo!

This card is so cute! 

 It is a mixture of computer generated fonts and images coupled with Cricut cuts.

It is a "Z" fold with an added item that is used a lot on gatefold cards.

The card base is black cardstock and lined with a beautiful paper from the

Once Upon a Time paper stack.

The leaves are ACY, the tree DC, and the other cuts are from PDDU.

The corners have been rounded, the edges inked, and some highlighting done w / markers.

All in all, I think this is one of my favorite Halloween cards.

Life is a symphony...

My dear DIL has a birthday coming up this week, and she will be

that awful age of 29!  She is at the point that I was at one time,

thinking that this was my last year to have fun.  We all know that

once you turn 30, it is time to grow up and act like an adult; at least that's

what we have been taught in the past.  Now it's a whole different ball game!

I wanted something simple but elegant, and I wanted to do a B&W theme.

I have been wanting to use this particular image from SIP,

so I made it my focal point and designed the card around it.

The base is black cardstock. 

The white background was embossed with a CB Happy Birthday folder

and the edges were inked in tourquoise and black.

The musical notes are Nifty 50s the heart is PS, and the sentiments are computer generated.

A fun "sassy girls" paper from a stack I have had for ages,

some edging done with a Fiskar's punch, and my project is complete.

Let your dreams take flight.....

I totally scraplifted this idea from a picture I had seen a long time ago.

I put my own twist on it and made this particular one for my niece's upcoming birthday.

I wanted a 3-D look so I used the "tent fold" card as my base.

The border frame is from AE, hto air balloon from SIP, sun, airplane and cloud from M&F,

happy birthday from ACY, sara from PS, and the banner is

a left-over from another project.

Shiny accents were used on the balloon banner and basket,

the sky background was embossed,

and the images were popped for dimension.

I love the way this turned out.

Not only will this card stand up to be displayed, but will also fold flat for mailing.

A handwritten sentiment on the back for the personal touch and it's finished.
