Bloom....

My dear friend is having a birthday this week!
To honor her day, I made her this spring themed card.

She is a rare flower to have as a friend
and I am lucky to have her as one of mine.
All of the cuts on this card are from Garden Soup.
I have to say that the more I explore it,
the more I love this cartridge.

Don't you just love the garden hose with the
water drops coming out of it to water that beautiful bloom!

Lots of layering, embossing, embellishing, and popping
make this card a special one for a special day.

After an original sentiment hidden on the inside,
this easel card is ready for mailing.
I hope she likes it!

Get outta my dreams....

Get into my car!
I think I am "dating" myself again,
but there are a few of you out there that might remember
that Billy Ocean song of yester-year.

I love the Disney cartridges, even though they take
a lot piece work, the end result is fantastic!

All the front image cuts on this card are from
the Disney Mickey and Friends cartridge.

Mickey and Minnie are cut @ 2"
Star @ 4"
Car @ 3 1/2"
The lime green card base was matted with black cardstock,
and then a mat of  yellow and sky blue were added
to complete the background.
The star was embossed to make it stand out,
while Mickey and Minnie were popped for dimension.
A computer generated senitment on a hand-cut
banner complete the front.

The road is from EDPD and is cut @ 2 & 2 1/4"
for layering.
Another excerpt from the song lyrics is printed
and cut out by using the centerpoint feature on a
PS oval @ 3 1/2"

The bright colors, Disney images, and glitter paper make
This card really stand out.

Whoooooo's Day is it?

Isn't this just the cutest thing!
I received my inspiration from Royal Things and her Graduation Owl.
Although I did my own take on it,
this sign will be used for "special days" and the names
are made to be interchangeable.

To start, the owl is from Noah's ABCs @ 11"
The branch is WW @ 4"
The word blurb is Campin' Critters @ 5 1/2" (could be larger)
The font is Carousel @ 1 1/2" and 1"
The cake is SYI @ 4 1/2" w/ Peachy Keen face stamp

To be able to use this sign in all weather or to leave it
out overnight.....I  took the time to laminate the pieces.
Not only does it make the pieced more sturdy,
but also keeps the paper from moisture damage.

Although I do not have them attached in the picture,
the images are attached to the sign post with velcro.
That way, I can take it apart for easier storage and
change the names to make it personal for each person
that has a special day to celebrate.
The birthday cake can also be replaced with another image:
such as one for an anniversary, accomplishment, etc.

I love this sign and send out my thanks
to Royal Things for the inspiration!
I will be entering this is in the following challenges:

Mom, you bloom in my garden

Wow!  It's been a few weeks since I have gotten a chance
to get into my craft room and create.
I wanted to enter a couple of challenges, and try out my
newest cartridge, "Garden Soup," so this is my end result!

I started with a white cardstock base, inked the edges,
and rounded the corners.
Along with "MOM," I added a label and fancy corner from Storybook.
The flower, branch, and leaves are all from Garden Soup.
A button, baker's twine, and a few of my favorite branches from my MS punch,
and the front is complete.

An original poem for the inside sentiment,
and a cutout from our Easter name cards....
and this card is complete!
Happy Mother's Day!

Shiver me timbers!

My grandbaby, Maddix, will be celebrating his first birthday this year,
so to go along with the pirate theme for his party,
Gram created this invitation for him.

I found a template on-line and added my own take on it.
All the cuts are PDDU, and the face is Peachy Keen.
The back will hold the rest of the info for
guests to ArrrrrrrrSVP .
