Pumpkin Patch

OOPS!
Forgot to post this!

I really think this will be my last Halloween project for this season.
As I have said before, I really don't make a lot for this holiday,
but this year, it seems like that was all I was making!
I have to admit, I enjoyed it!

This is a card from the first WC cartridge.
I have had this for quite some time,
but never used it.  I just could not get some of the images,
nor could I come up with ideas on how to use them in my projects.
This was cut @ 5 1/2"
The pumpkin front is embossed, as well as the spider and bat.

Since I did not understand the layering from the booklet,
I cut the paper colors wrong.
I recut the front 1/2" smaller and used it as a layer over the original one.
I guess I'll get it if I just use this particular one more frequently.
I am pleased with it though...it is so bright and "Halloweeny!"

Give Thanks

Sandy's aftermath, and all that she has affected, is in our thoughts and prayers.
I do hope that everyone this blog reaches is safe and well.

My first Thanksgiving post.
Although my Halloween decor will be with me for another day,
my crafting has turned to Thanksgiving.
This is one of my favorite holidays.  I love to cook and share
a wonderful meal with my family and friends where
we can all "stuff" ourselves and enjoy the bounty that God has given us.

Since I do not own the Cricut Thanksgiving cart,
I used the free images in Cricut CraftRoom to create this project.
The leaves, pumpkin, and sentiment were embossed and set
in back and in front of the frame.
I added polka dots, buttons, ribbon, and small gems to give added
embellishment and dimension.

The inside includes a Thanksgiving prayer and
the final cut from the Thanksgiving cart.
It is matted twice and the bottom is adorned with a border punch.

I do wholeheartedly thank ProvoCraft for the free cut images.
I am still having a hard time adjusting from Design Studio to Craft Room -
I had a computer crash, upgraded, and now cannot install my DS software.
I do wish there was more support for DS.  I love it and thought it was much easier to work with.

Scaredy Cat!

Here is my 2nd project from the SVG Cuts Midnight Jamboree Kit.
This treat bucket is so cute, easy to make, and a great addition to your Halloween decorating theme!

This face is made for the bucket to show thru the
eyes and mouth, (green) but since I did not take a look
at the tutorial before I made it, I had to piece them in.
I made my buchet black and it really should have been green.

That whimsical "moon face" is attached to a craft stick that
was painted black and finished off with an orange ribbon.
I will place some tissue paper in the bottom
and position that little guy where I want him and then
fill my bucket with goodies!

I love this kit!

Cat on a Hot Yellow Moon

Here is another file from the SVG Cuts Midnight Jamboree kit.
This cute little candy dish makes a wonderful tabletop addition.

This is a very easy peasy project to complete.

I added the spider web from a MS punch,
embossed tag, BOO from SB, and the cute little bat from PDDU
to finish the front of my project.

I filled the dish with gumballs,
added the spiderweb border, and Happy Halloween from HH
to complete my coffe table centerpiece.

Let there be light!

This lantern is the best!
Only 2 cuts to make the sides, one for the bottom,
and 4 to finish off the inside.

I used a heavy-weight black cardstock to give it
a more sturdy appearance.
I used the template included in the Extras file to
cut the orange tissue paper for the sidelights.
After gluing the tissue into place, I added the finishing touches
to the insde, connected the wire handle, and finished
it off with 2 small rosettes.
I used a battery operated tealight for illumination.
This is soooo cute!

Jack O Lantern Swing

This is the cutest Halloween banner I have made to date.
This is from the Midnight Jamboree SVG collection at SVG Cuts.
It starts off with 5 different 3D faces,
but you  could repeat the designs if you wanted to make a larger banner.
I have a small space in my foyer, so the original design worked great for me.

Check out these faces!  Sooooo cute!

I added a goldern yellow backer to the  Halloween papers,
punched the holes with my punch,
and laced a pumpkin ribbon from JoAnn Crafts through
it to complete my project.
This really is my favorite decoration that I have made this year.

Which witch is which!

I just acquired the Happy Hauntings cart and this
Witch's boot is one of my favorite images!

I have seen a few cards made with this sentiment,
but this is my own take on it.

Starting with lime green cardstock,
I rounded the corners and matted the image on
black and tangerine papers.
I stamped the spider web and border with black ink,
added some polka dots to the black mat for dimension,
a white satin ribbon to the side.
The boot itself is embellished with a gold lame ribbon and
small green and clear gemstones.
The cute spider is popped for dimension,
and the front of this card is complete!

A heading is added to the inside top and
my personal sentiment will go beneath that.

The inside sentiment is matted with polka dot and black papers,
stamped with the same spider web as on  the front,
and finished off with mint green baker's twine.
Although I made this card for Halloween,
I think it could be used for a girl's night out,
invitation, or anytime creation just by changing the sentiment.

Enter if you dare!

I don't do a lot of decorating for Halloween,
but this is our entryway table and what I have accomplished so far.

Some of the projects I have posted before,
but most are new this week.

I found this tutorial on the Paper Boutique for
making small containers from a 6x6 piece of paper,
so I had to try it!

I had to make two....they were so cute and easy to do!

I also had seen this great tutorial on how to make this pumpkin
out of strips of paper....so easy!

To finish it off, I added a Bath & Body Works candle
in a spider web holder that I found @ Kohls.
I'm sure there will be more to come in the next few days.

Boo Baby!

I love this card!
So many different things went into it,
but to start, I used the "S" fold for the base.

The front and inside is matted in a bright yellow
which is in stark contrast to the black base.
The ghostly image is from HH and is backed by purple glitter paper
and a lighter yellow embossed circle.
The reaching hand is adorned with a green gem on the cuff.

The "BOO!" is SB and is cut @ 1 1/2"
The black backing is a punched strip.

On the main page, the images are all from PDDU.
The yellow mattings are all embossed,
the bats and cats are popped for dimension.

The thing I like the most about "S" fold cards is that
not only is it attractive from the front,
but also when opened where you can see the whole scene.
