Here is the next installment of Lil Maddix' scrapbook.

He is just starting to pull himself up....

and sometimes letting himself down pretty hard!

I thought of the adage:

Snips and snails

and puppy dog tails....

that's what little boys are made of,

and made this the theme of this LO.

Totally Jawsome!

I have to admit that I scraplifted this idea from

Lisa Norris on the Cricut MB.

It was such a great project, and although I did not  have

the cart she used, I came up with my own design.

I think this will be my son's birthday card for this year,

and I am hoping it will make him smile.

There are not a lot of Cricut cuts on this card.

I started with an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of white card stock

folded in half.

I added a mat of dark blue stock and rounded the

edges of both papers.

The sea scene, sentiment, and Jaws were computer generated.

The coral, seahorses, and fish are all from PDDU.

The coral and banner are popped for dimension

and Jaws is attached to a home-made wobble for motion.

The inside of the card is also computer generated with

an underwater sea scene and sentiment.

It is soooo cute!  I absolutely love the end result!

Toot..Toot..Tootsie...Good-Bye!

This is a valentine that I made for a dear friend of mine who is always on the go.

She is always taking care of everyone but herself, so I thought

a "thinking of you" card was appropriate for her.

Since she is always on the go, I picked this cute little scooter for the main image.

A little dazzle is added from the metallic papers used on the scooter,

basket, and helmet.

The "flag" on the back is actually a left-over cut I had never used

from Accent Essentials.

 All of the rest of the images are from the Sweethearts cart.

Of course, this is my favorite easel card - I just love how they stand up for display.

A scalloped edge, small gems, embossing,

and some glitter paper added to the heart give this card some pop.

A heartfelt sentiment is added to the inside fold that is not shown

when displayed.

Lots of layering and dimensionals give this card a great look.

I think she'll like it!

I saw this card on the Splitcoaststampers' tutorial page

and thought it would make a nice little card to tuck in somewhere for a surprize greeting.

I started with the card base (3 1/2 x 10 1/2)

and scored it @ 3 1/2 & 7.

I cut my letters from the WW cart @ 2 3/4 -

the heart is from the SH cart @ 2 3/4 also.

I then laid them on the base, and traced around the images on the top of the card.

This was cut out by hand.

The edges were inked and it was embossed with the paisley CB folder.

The letters were embossed with the swirls CB folder and the

heart flower with swiss dots.

The "popped" heart was also embossed with swiss dots while

the background was cut from red glitter paper.

A final embellishment with a small gemstone and my project is complete.

It is not exactly like the tutorial, but it was close enough for me!

You're on my mind.....

Here is my grandbaby's valentine.

It is his first "love you" day so I couldn't let it pass by without a card!

I love the Disney images, even though they are full of small pieces,

so who better to build a project around than Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

I have to confess, the only cuts that are new for this card is Mickey and Minnie,

everything else I had leftover from other projects....including the card!

The hearts and words are from Sweethearts,

Mickey and Minnie from Mickey and Friends,

and the bottom border is made from layering punch cuts.

I love this fold because it is an easy display

and adds dimension at the same time.

Mickey, Minnie, and the small hearts were popped for dimension.

A tag on the back (which is also a leftover cut) will hold a personal message.

The finished size of the this card is 5 1/2 x 7 -

just enough to fit in a standard envelope -

I must admit that I had to lay this over the envelope when adding my

embellishments so as not to go oversize.  I tend to do that sometimes when my creativity gets the best of me!
