Flower Pot Card

This is my first attempt at making a flower pot card.

I do like the end result, and the way you can take out the top flowers

to add a sentement is cool!

I also added a butterfly for an extra touch.

I think I will enter this in the Krafty Girls challenge.

I made this fun-shaped card for the

 Exploring Cricut challenge  - .Food Frenzy

This is a cut from FMK.

Pretty papers, some inking, and metallic accents make

this card a fun one.

Eye of the Tiger

This exquisite cut is an SVG image that I cut on my Cricut.

I made this particular card for the FCCB challenge this week ;

# 102 In like a Lion.

I started with a center step card in basic black cardstock;

then accented the front, sides, and inside with a black and white

animal print paper from my scrap stack.

The tiger is cut in black; I hand-pieced the green jungle background,

and popped the image frame.

The jungle flower is from the PYB cart.  To accent this piece, I popped it also

and added glossy accents to give it a tropical feel.

This card could be used for many occasions:

-- a masculine birthday

-- strength or encouragement

-- good luck

-- get well

This is a very intricate cut, but if cut twice makes a very clean image for you to work with.

Play Ball!

It is so hard sometimes to come up with birthday card ideas for men.

My brother has a birthday in July, and I finished his card already!

I have had this idea running around in my head for awhile now,

and since my memory is not what it used to be, I thought I should

get "on the ball" and get this project done!

I used the Baseball cart for the baseball, pitcher, bat,

glove, field, and sentiment background.

The star is from HD, the happy birthday is welded in DS

 and I used the "tall ball" font from PS,  and the mustache is from PDDU.

With all the glitter and metallic papers that were used, this card really shines!

The mats that hold the sentiment are edged with a puch

and the golden layer is CB embossed to look somewhat like wood.

There is a lot of embossing and popping on this card to give

it that added dimensional look.

Of course, I have once again used my favorite easel design.

The finished size of this card is 5 1/2 x 8".

A personal message tucked into an inside fold....

and this card is complete!

Take me out to the ball game.....take me out to the crowd!

Unique and Elegant

I just love the Art Nouveau cartridge!

There are so many wonderful cuts that the combinations are endless.

I made this for my friend that I don't get to see very often.

She is a very timeless, unique, and elegant lady;

and I think this fits her perfectly.

I started with a dark blue cardstock that is speckled with white,

and then added the patterened blue paper for the mat.

I then chose a background cut from the AN cart and cut it in shadow,

regular, and layered it in silver metallic.

It was then embossed with the CB paisley and swirls folders.

The peacock was cut @ 5" and the feathers @ 5.5".

There are so many layers to these cuts that they need to be cut on a larger scale.

"Diamond" gemstones were added to the bird's tail along with

black outlining throughout, and all images were popped for dimension.

The sentiment mats are handcut to fit with

corners rounded, and popped so the card front will slip in behind it for displaying.

The flowers are from AC and cut @ 2".

Maybe I make too many of these, but I just can't help myself!

My computer generated sentiment, "Unique and Elegant,"

describes my friend to a tee.

I will add a personal message inside.....

Voila!  It's finished!

My "Home Sweet Home" LO was featured in this

month's issue of the Cricut Chirp!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I am always looking for a new fold or interactive card that I haven't tried before,

and I stumbled across this "viewmaster card."

I did get the easy tutorial from Splitcoaststampers and

had a great time making this project.

Using glitter papers, embossing the images, and adding a

fancy punched edge makes this card sparkle.

Since I didn't have any stamps for this occasion,

I used a selection of "hats" for the viewmaster wheel.

The same concept is used on this card, but I added more  bling to the

shamrock by using a silver metallic paper.

I also changed things up by using Cricut cuts on the wheel instead of stamps.

The images include the heart (shown), a leprechan hat, and a shamrock.

These cards are so cute and provide a surprise for the recipient.

The pictures really don't do them justice because the glittery effect is lost.
