Mom, you bloom in my garden

Wow!  It's been a few weeks since I have gotten a chance
to get into my craft room and create.
I wanted to enter a couple of challenges, and try out my
newest cartridge, "Garden Soup," so this is my end result!

I started with a white cardstock base, inked the edges,
and rounded the corners.
Along with "MOM," I added a label and fancy corner from Storybook.
The flower, branch, and leaves are all from Garden Soup.
A button, baker's twine, and a few of my favorite branches from my MS punch,
and the front is complete.

An original poem for the inside sentiment,
and a cutout from our Easter name cards....
and this card is complete!
Happy Mother's Day!

Shiver me timbers!

My grandbaby, Maddix, will be celebrating his first birthday this year,
so to go along with the pirate theme for his party,
Gram created this invitation for him.

I found a template on-line and added my own take on it.
All the cuts are PDDU, and the face is Peachy Keen.
The back will hold the rest of the info for
guests to ArrrrrrrrSVP .

The Daffodils are in Bloom...

There was a lot of work that went into this project,
but I had so much fun trying to create it.
I wanted to make something that not only represented spring,
but also the Easter season.

I started with an invitation wrap.
I added a punched scalloped edge complete with lace
and adhered it to the slant.
The daffodils and hummingbird are from Art Nouveau
and the embossed circles are fron a Fiskars punch.
The hummingbird's wings are popped 2x
and small gems were added to the stamens of the flowers.

Instead of an invitation, a card was made to coordinate with
the Springtime scene on the wrap.
All cuts on the front of the card are from Heritage.
The frame is embossed and inked -
The flowers are popped 2x -
and larger square gems were added to the corners for elegance.
A scripture which says;
Jesus said to her,
"I am the resurrection and the life.
He who believes in me will live,
even though he dies;
and whoever lives and believes in me
will never die.
John 11:25-26

is added to the inside of the frame
to finish off the front.

Adding an inside sentiment would make this
perfect for an Easter, sympathy, get well, or thinking of you card.
I love the end result!
I may even use this as my "Thank You" card to our
Minister for performing the Baptism Ritual for our grandbaby.

My Celebrate Spring Card made the Cricut Chirp!

I am so excited that my Celebrate Spring card
made the Cricut Chirp!
This was the card I gave my Mom this year for Easter.

Be Beary Careful!

With all this great weather in PA, the great outdoors has been on my mind,
and when I saw the challenges @ Creative Cutter Room and Paper Playtime,
I knew I had to play.

All of the cuts are from Campout and almost all were popped for dimension.
The word circle was generated in MS WORD.
The small bear prints are stickers from my stash.
For the CCR challenge there were 4 elements that needed to be met:
1.  glitter
2.  charm
3.  embossing
4.  add color w/ ink, markers, mist paint

The mountains are topped with a silver glitter,
a small charm w/ brown ribbon and brad is added to the top left corner,
the mountains, trees, and bear are CB embossed,
and the trees behind the bear are spritzed w/ antiquing ink.

For the PPT challenge -
For the guys and add a sentiment.
I liked the wording on this card because I think we take too much for
granted and miss the important ones along the way.

Welcome Spring....and enjoy the little things!

Celebrate Spring!

Although we have had wonderful March weather, Spring is finally here!
This is a fun center step card that celebrates the season.

I actually had had this card base made
and hidden in my stash for quite some time.
As I was rummaging around,
I came across it and since it was done in "springy" colors,
I made it my starting point for this card.

To start, the three flowers are handmade folds and are finished
with small gems in the center.
The leaves are from PS and the stems are cut free-hand.
I added some negative cuts from a previous project to the card sides
and finished them off with a gemstone also.
That cute little bunny (my favorite) is from WW.
He is popped for added dimension and embossed with the CB folder.
Branches from my MS punch and eggs from the Doodlecharms cart
finish off the bottom.
My outside sentiment come from the Happy Hunting stamp set
I won @ Jeanne's  (Thank you Jeanne!) and I could not wait to use it!
I will add an inside sentiment to make this card personal, and all is done!

Welcome Spring!
