Wedding Cake

The black background was embossed using a Fiskars confetti plate, the cake and sentiment mat were embossed using CB swirls and the hearts using CB swiss dots. The cake and I Do were cut from the SH cart, the medalion background is an SVG cut, the sentiment is computer generated, and all corners are edged using a Fiskars corner punch. The cake and "I Do" are popped for dimensional effect. I just love to make easel cards because they are so easy to display.

I will be entering this in the Fantabulous Cricut - Wedding Bliss challenge this week.

Life Lessons......

This is a pet sympathy card I made for my dear SIL and her husband.
Cassie was an older dog that they took in when the original owner
could no longer care for her.
Since my BIL had had a stroke some years back,
just having little Cassie to sit on his lap and watch TV
with brightened his day.

This dog will surely be missed........
and as always, there are life lessons to be learned.

The sentiments are computer generated, inked,
and then punched out.
The small bones are from the card feature in ACY.
A small bow was added and the front is finished.

The inside is finished with two mats,
both with the corners punched,
and the bottom is adorned with another punched strip.

I will be entering this in Paper Playtime - Miss You challenge.

Coffee, Cupcake?

My dear DIL needed some coffee themed centerpieces for
an upcoming luncheon at her school and asked me to make them.
I did a 50s theme for her last year and they were a big hit....
so this year's theme is a Coffee Shop.
They are serving coffee, tea, and desserts.....
so coffee and cupcakes!
I chose to make easel cards that are not only easy to store
when folded, but also great for decorations when stood up.

My 1st design starts with the cupcake design from Home Decor.
I love this cut....it is so "Pastry Shop!"
The icing and wrapper are embossed for added dimension,
and the circular shape gives it a more festive look.
The stand-up image is the negative cut from the cofee SVG.

The 2nd design is an SVG cut that I had acquired on line.
I pieced the backgrounds in different papers and
used the same smaller cupcake for the stand-up image.
The circles are 6" to give you an idea of the heights.

I think these will look great on the Coffee Shop tables!
