Gone Fishin'

My BIL has just had knee surgery and is in the recovery stage.
Since he loves to fish and has a teardrop trailer,
I thought this would start him thinking
of getting back into the swing of things once he is able to get up and around.

The camping trailer is PYB and all of the other cuts are CC.
Of course, this is my favorite easel card,
and he can display it while he dreams of warmer weather!

I used a lot of silver metallic paper to give this project shine.
The tree tops, sign, trailer, and pond surface have all been embossed
with CB folders.
As you can see, most of the images are popped to add
a 3-D look to the card.
The inside mat is from a DCWV paper stack and has the look of leaves.

I will add a personal humorous "get well" sentiment to the inside fold
to finish it off.
I am so pleased with the outcome and CC and PYB are fast
becoming two of my favorite carts.

  1. OMG, this is crazy cute, love it!!!! YOU GO GIRL!

  2. This is such a cute card! I love the silver metallic paper. All of the embossing looks great! :)

  3. This is adorable! I love all the DETAIL on this card - so fun! :)

  4. WOW!!! This is gorgeous!! I can tell a lot of hard work went in to this card! It looks fabulous!

  5. I just noticed your "Help" about having trouble with entering blog contests. I have the same problem and did miss out on one challenge because of it. I also have trouble just getting on to some blogs. If they are on my reader list, I found I need to click on the blog itself instead of the post. This doesn't help for the linky but what can we do?

  6. Wow, Marcia, what a great card! it's really amazing, you've put so many details in it. And the pond to hold it up, good thinking. Love it!--Pat N.

  7. The details in your card are amazing! I love cards with lots of layers and dimension! I'm your newest follower:) Thank you for helping us spread the word about our new challenge blog.
