Give Thanks

Sandy's aftermath, and all that she has affected, is in our thoughts and prayers.
I do hope that everyone this blog reaches is safe and well.

My first Thanksgiving post.
Although my Halloween decor will be with me for another day,
my crafting has turned to Thanksgiving.
This is one of my favorite holidays.  I love to cook and share
a wonderful meal with my family and friends where
we can all "stuff" ourselves and enjoy the bounty that God has given us.

Since I do not own the Cricut Thanksgiving cart,
I used the free images in Cricut CraftRoom to create this project.
The leaves, pumpkin, and sentiment were embossed and set
in back and in front of the frame.
I added polka dots, buttons, ribbon, and small gems to give added
embellishment and dimension.

The inside includes a Thanksgiving prayer and
the final cut from the Thanksgiving cart.
It is matted twice and the bottom is adorned with a border punch.

I do wholeheartedly thank ProvoCraft for the free cut images.
I am still having a hard time adjusting from Design Studio to Craft Room -
I had a computer crash, upgraded, and now cannot install my DS software.
I do wish there was more support for DS.  I love it and thought it was much easier to work with.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:
TFL!

  1. I agree with you on Design Studio. I love it and use it all the time. I tried CCR but gave up. I hope I don't lose DS like you did and HAVE to go there.

    1. I did get my DS back after some finagalling, but have been trying to use CCR in the meantime. There are so many glitches for me. One time it will not recognize the cartridge...the next time it can't find the mat....won't link my cartridges...no wonder this program is free. Sorry, I just needed to vent a bit!

  9. Beautiful card! I love that those images are free but I'm hesitant to use CCR. I have it downloaded on my machine but have never cut a design from it. I just love my DS too much and don't want to take the chance that CCR might interfere with how good my DS is working right now. I love the embossing on your images and the colors are beautiful! The embellishments and the Thanksgiving prayer are just lovely! ~Vanessa
