Cascading birthday

I can hardly believe it's been almost 1 month since my last post,
but with the Christmas holidays approaching, I have been quite busy.
I have wanted to try my hand at a cascading or concertina card,
so since my SIL is having a birthday this month,
this is my card choice for her.
I found this tutorial on Splitcoaststampers.

Most of the papers are fron the DCWV Christmas Stack that I had leftover from last year.
I found them when I was reorganizing my craft room
and was quite happy when I saw them again.
The font is Winter Woodland and the poinsettia is Christmas Solutions.
WW is one of my favorite cartridges and I always enjoy the winter months when
I get to create new projects with the images that I have almost forgotten!
The snowflakes are hand punched as is the top border.
The sentiment is computer generated and hand cut into a banner design,
while the branches come from my "favorite" MS punch.

It is so easy to make and I love the 3D look.
Just a few embellishments and you're done.

It folds flat and the finished size is approximately 4.25 x 5.25

A hand-stamped message that is surrounded by embossing
adds an elegant touch to this already polished card.

I will be entering this in the following challenges:
TFL!

  1. I like the cascading style. Not made one before. Please indicate what forgotten stash you used for the Pause Dream Enjoy Forgotten Stash challenge.
